Lenten Study Groups

Each year, our congregation pulls together during the season of Lent—the weeks leading up to the celebration of Easter—for a congregation-wide study.

The season of Lent is a time when many will strive to be more intentional about studying. Small groups are the best place to encourage you to do this while being supported by others in the congregation and community.

This year, our church will be using Max Lucado’s newest book, Fearless, to explore how life might be better lived with less fear standing in the way.

“Imagine your life, wholly untouched by angst. What if faith, not fear, was your default reaction to threats? If you could hover a fear magnet over your heart and extract every last shaving of dread, insecurity, or doubt, what would remain? Envision the day when you can trust more and fear less.”
The small groups will meet for 6 weeks beginning the week of February 14th.  All are invited to be a part of this study - members, visitors, friends from around the community or from work.
There is a small cost involved for the purchase of the book (~$17), but scholarships are also available by request.

We have 5 days and times for you to choose from: Sunday at 9:45 AM with Patti Gardner in the Cross Classroom of the church, Tuesday at 11 AM at Pastor Jason's house, Tuesday nights at 7 PM with Jeff & Alisha Cofield at their house, Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Cross Classroom of the church and Thursday nights at 6:30 PM with the Benjamin's at their house in McKinney.

Sign up today online using our registration form or on the group sheets in the back of the sanctuary on Sunday mornings.

We look forward to being in study with you!!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.  THANKS!
